Free buses for summer youth activities

The Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board (YCB) is providing a free bus for kids and teens to get to their summer activities through August 15.

YCB’s “Youth Are Here” bus runs Monday¬–Friday, noon–8 p.m. following a circular route through North and South Minneapolis and making designated stops at sites with youth events and opportunities. The eight South Minneapolis stops include the Franklin and East Lake libraries, as well as Longfellow Park.

Kids and teens 9–18-years-old can ride; younger kids can ride with a babysitter that is at least 13 years old.

The bus is free, but registration is required. For registration and a detailed schedule of stops, call 612-673-2060 or visit www.ycb.org/YouthRHereBus.asp.

The program is sponsored by YCB, the City of Minneapolis and the McKnight Foundation.
