Free tax help for senior and low-income residents
The American Association of Retired Persons Tax Aide Volunteer Program will provide free tax help, including preparing income tax forms and electronic filing, for senior and low-income residents, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, through April 16. Ward 9 City Council Member Gary Schiff wrote in his February newsletter that eligible residents should bring W2 forms and other necessary papers, including photo identification and Social Security cards for themselves, spouses and all dependents, to the public service level of the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S. Sixth St.; or to room 11 of Minneapolis City Hall, 350 S. Fifth St.
